With a focus on utilising an integrated practices framework, our service delivers innovative solutions to some of Hertfordshire’s most vulnerable residents.

The role
Senior Educational Psychologists play an active role in further developing our evolving work practices and promoting positive outcomes for children, young people and families.

You’ll be responsible for the supervision and line management of trainee and educational psychologists under the direction of the Deputy and/or Principal Educational Psychologists as well as areas of whole-service and area based strategic work. You’ll provide expertise and drive performance to meet the needs of CYP and families in Hertfordshire in accordance with Childrens’ Services priorities. You will support with the operational planning, policy matters and service delivery, working collaboratively with a range of partners in the delivery of our service.

Our Service delivery model includes:

  • ‘SEND Support’ intervention through a consultation model
  • Systemic work and training to schools in close collaboration with the Delivering
  • Specialist Provision Locally management groups (DSPLs)
  • A ‘Contact Line’ for parents
  • Crises support for schools

Essential requirements:
To be successful you must hold a Professional Masters qualification in Educational Psychology alongside Qualified Teacher Status, OR professional Doctorate qualification in Educational Psychology and be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council with evidence of up-to-date professional development in order to maintain registration status.

You will need to have a driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.

Salary: Soulbury B scale 4-7 £59,807 - £64,104 pa, up to 3 additional SPA points, 
PLUS £3k annual market enhancement* AND £5k welcome/retention payment** (pro rata for part time)

Contract: Permanent
37 hours (part time considered - min 3 days per week)

Location: Based in Hemel Hempstead or Stevenage - 
with hybrid working and travel countywide
