London Borough of Redbridge - Senior Educational Psychologist and Main Grade Educational Psychologists

We are a friendly, collaborative and enthusiastic team of Educational Psychologists delivering a highly regarded and valued psychology service to our schools and services across the borough.  We are seeking to grow and expand our Service and are looking for a Senior Educational Psychologist and Main Grade Educational Psychologists who are dynamic and passionate about applying psychology to improve outcomes for all children and families and to help all children and young people (CYP) with SEND to thrive. We are committed to the wider inclusion agenda where all children and young people belong and feel that they have a voice.

We are a dedicated team committed to providing a psychological service to children and young people in our diverse communities through culturally responsive practice.  The service has an established consultation framework which underpins its work with schools.  We are working systemically and preventatively within our schools to meet the needs of CYP. We work in a flexible and creative way in line with evidence-based practice.  Redbridge EPS is uniquely a non-traded service.  We provide diverse working opportunities including with the Virtual School, Youth Supporting Refugees, Early Years and creative work in local Children’s Centres, Post-16 and work within the wider community. We are running projects with our Redbridge Educational Wellbeing Team (REWT) including ELSA training and supervision and the Race and Equality Awareness programme. We have close links with the Doctoral training courses at UEL, UCL/IOE, and support trainee placements within the team. 

Senior Educational Psychologist Post:

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and creative Senior Educational Psychologist to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting time to join the Senior Team given our current New Ways of Working with schools and educational provisions, children and young people and their families and the wider community. As a Senior Educational Psychologist, you will use creative evidenced based psychological skills and strategic input to contribute to early intervention and preventative work as well as some involvement in the development and reshaping of areas such as: 

• Monitoring and evaluation 
• Policy development
• Preventative and Systemic work (0-25)
• Collaborative work with other agencies
• Strategic lead in borough wide/EPS projects and developments
• EDI work 
• CPD and Training and developing interventions
• Decision making multidisciplinary panels 

As a Senior EP you will support the professional development of educational psychologists that you supervise through both professional and line management responsibilities.  You will have a small patch of schools and will apply psychology creatively with a focus on systemic and preventative work.  Redbridge EPS is forward thinking, and you will benefit from strong leadership and support from the PEPs and Senior Leadership Team. Three Years minimum experience as a qualified Educational Psychologist is required for this post.

Main grade Educational Psychologists Posts:

We invite skilled, creative and enthusiastic Educational Psychologists to join our friendly and supportive team, where dynamic opportunities exist for all EPs to develop and apply their psychological skills in a range of settings. 

Redbridge EPS Leadership Team are committed to the wellbeing of EPs. We focus on maintaining work-life balance and we have thought carefully about our allocation model to meet our statutory demands and to maintain our non-statutory work in education settings.  As a new member of our team, you will have a carefully planned induction period and a buddy system to ensure you feel welcome straight away. Senior EPs and Main Grade EPs will have support from an Assistant Educational Psychologist as well as an EP buddy to support work and wellbeing.

Applicants must be a professionally qualified Educational Psychologist and registered with the HCPC or in the case of TEPs, expecting to have their registration confirmed following the completion of their recognised training course.
