About the training
This training is designed to support practitioners in skilling parents with effective relational interventions that bring consistently contactful connections. Backed by cutting edge research on the neuroscience and psychology of parent-child interactions, it aims to support both parent and child mental health. Course content by Dr Margot Sunderland (author of award-winning book: The Science of Parenting)
Curriculum includes: Mentalization based treatment, Filial therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Non-Violent Communication, The Parent-Child Game, Attachment Play, Trauma Reflective Functioning, The Neurochemistry of painful and pleasurable parent-child interactions, preventing inter-generational transfer of trauma, running parenting groups, Healing attachment ruptures, Effective interventions for Child-on-Parent violence, Contracting, Safeguarding.
Time commitment: Starts November 2024: 7 days over 5-6 months.
