South Tyneside Educational Psychology Service is a friendly, highly supportive and nurturing team of educational psychologists, specialist teachers and emotional resilience officers.  The Service is very well regarded by its users, as is evident from the consistently excellent feedback it receives.  It maintains highly positive working relationships with schools, other professionals and the Local Authority. There are opportunities to engage in a wide variety of work, including training, therapeutic work, systemic work and research, using a range of different psychological tools and methods.

You will have a patch of schools and the opportunity to get involved in a range of different work including critical incident support, research and supervision. We are seeking an educational psychologist who is willing to be part of a multidisciplinary team. We would also welcome areas of interest a candidate may bring to the role as we are always seeking to develop innovative ways of working with schools. We also offer opportunities for candidates to progress to Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist in an area that they wish to specialise in. We are committed to offering opportunities for continuing professional development.
