We take a deep look into the psychological impact on children of living with domestic abuse and coercive control. We offer wide-ranging approaches to supporting schools, families and young people. 

Includes relevant government documents and research, interviews with experts, victims’ voices, case study, reflective activities, spotting the signs, interventions, talking to children about domestic abuse.

 Abigail Sterne (Senior Educational Psychologist) and Catherine Lawler (Training Consultant for a Safeguarding Children's Partnership), co-authors of Domestic Violence and Children. A handbook for schools and early years settings (Routledge, 2010) and Floss and the Boss. Helping Children Learn about Domestic Abuse and Coercive Control (Routledge, 2021).
