Relational and Developmental Trauma - An Immersion with Dr Karen Treisman, MBE

During this two-day immersive, virtual CPD training experience you will learn about the multi-layered impact of trauma, neglect, violence, abuse, toxic stress, and disrupted attachment on children, adolescents, and their surrounding adults. 

Dr Karen Treisman is a Specialist Clinical Psychologist, TEDx Speaker, and Author who will provide crucial and critical knowledge for trauma awareness. We will dig to the roots of Relational and Developmental Trauma, drawing on attachment, loss, stress, and trauma theory bases, This two-day experience provides a further focus on sexual, physical, domestic abuse, and relational poverty. We will also hold a focus on hope, adversarial growth and survivorship.

Over two days we will specifically explore:

• Realising the impact of trauma and disrupted attachment on the body and how this can affect the child’s physical and sensory world
